Nice Christmas Regatta (Jacques-Puisségur Trophy)

Organised by the Club Nautique de Nice, the Nice Christmas Regatta, better known locally as the Trophée Jacques-Puisségur, gathers an international Star-class fleet in the Baie des Anges every year between Christmas and New Year. It is one of the few top-level regattas held in the depths of winter on the French Riviera, at a time when most of the Mediterranean boating season is over.

For the Nice stopover (Port Lympia), the event brings an unusual off-season activity peak, with international crews logistically dependent on local professionals (rigging, engineering, boat transport) in the middle of winter.
