Antibes Ship

Established in 1964, Antibes Ship is a yacht chandlery on Boulevard d'Aguillon in Antibes, a few steps from Port Vauban. The company runs three neighbouring stores: the main chandlery shop, the watersports shop and the rigging workshop, located some twenty metres behind the first two. The shop is open Monday to Friday, and on Saturday mornings between April and September. In 2020 a change of ownership brought former yacht captains and managers into the management team.

The rigging workshop is run by a team of specialists who design, make and splice custom ropes and lines on site, for everything a large yacht needs: running rigging, standing rigging, netting, mooring ropes and anchoring warps, with Robline, Armare and Dyneema materials. Specialised lines complete the offer, including fender lines, stopper lines, heaving lines, snubber lines, toy lines, tender whips and pilot or swim ladders. Mooring lines are supplied pre-spliced in high tenacity nylon and polyester, with colours available to match the topsides.

The department also covers halyards, sheets and control lines, winches, blocks, cleats, mast fittings and spreader bars, as well as the wire, turnbuckles, chainplates and toggles of standing rigging. For spars, the store carries masts and booms from well known brands such as John Mast, Selden Mast AB, Eurospars and Sparcraft, Z-Spars and Axxon. The technical team carries out rigging inspections combining visual and tactile checks of wires and rods, terminals, chainplates and deck penetrations, backed by testing that assesses the strength of the whole system. Rigging hydraulics are covered as well, with tensioning systems, pumps, valves, hoses and fittings, as are hooks, clamps, shackles and winches, sourced notably from Wichard, Lewmar and Imnasa.

Beyond rigging, Antibes Ship brings together more than ten thousand references across its departments: deck, watersports, tenders, engineering, safety, life rafts, interior, galley equipment and onboard essentials. A sourcing team familiar with the superyacht world handles bulk orders and hard to find parts, with local delivery, shipping or collection in store.
