L'Atelier des Voiles

L'Atelier des Voiles is based in Marseille, at 467 chemin du Littoral in the Mourepiane business park, and has been manufacturing in the Estaque district since 2005. The company brings together two complementary crafts, sailmaking and outdoor textile design, and states that everything is made in France in its own workshop. It works in Marseille and across a wide regional area, notably Aix-en-Provence, Aubagne, Cassis, Carry-le-Rouet, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Lourmarin, Toulon, Saint-Tropez and Nice.

The sailmaking side handles the creation, servicing and repair of sails for all types of craft, from cruising yachts to commercial vessels. Marine upholstery completes the offer with full refurbishment of cabin, saloon and deck upholstery, new helm seats, sun pads, beach beds, lazy bags and made-to-measure cushions for outdoor seating. The projects shown range from the complete replacement of the foams and fabrics of a cruising boat to the full upholstery of a catamaran.

Materials are described in detail: open-cell DRYFEEL foam that lets water through, cut to the required dimensions and densities, waterproof or water-repellent fabrics and faux leather, with UV treatment, resistance to sea salt and fire-retardant properties. The workshop applies the same textile expertise ashore, with made-to-measure shade sails for private and professional clients, roller-operated models, vertical panels and privacy screens, pergola and railing cladding and covers for event marquees. Installation, servicing, inspection and seasonal removal are offered, along with technical guidance ahead of the quotation.

The company is an expert partner of Serge Ferrari and works with the Soltis 86, Soltis 92 and Batyline fabric ranges, chosen for their durability in sun and marine environments. Quotations, advice on material selection and follow-up on completed work round out the service.
