bluewater began as a crew agency in 1991 and now has more than thirty years of activity in yachting. The Antibes office is at 7 boulevard d'Aguillon and works alongside the Palma de Mallorca office. The company presents itself under the motto "one company, one complete service" and brings together five businesses: crew placement, training, sales brokerage, charter and yacht management.

Crew placement is the core of the business. Recruiters specialised by department cover every position on board, from deck and engineering to galley and interior. The agency draws on a global database of more than 115,000 registered crew and on over 25 years of crew recruitment experience. A full-time reference checker verifies backgrounds and interviews are held every day.

For owners, captains and management companies, bluewater favours genuinely well-matched CVs over bulk submissions, provides confidential interview space and works with the yacht's management company where useful. The commitment is straightforward: if the right candidate is not found, nothing is charged, and every placed crew member comes with a 90-day warranty.

Crew have an online profile and the ONE Account system, giving access to vacancies and allowing them to keep availability and qualifications up to date. The company also publishes a starting out guide, a crew training manual, CV advice with templates and interview tips. The training division operates dedicated centres in Antibes and Palma: introduction to superyachts, STCW safety and security, engineering, officer of the watch and master yachts, interior, galley, management and specialist modules. Courses are delivered in connection with the MCA, the RYA, the SQA and the PYA, and lead to certifications including STCW, RYA and IAMI GUEST.

The other businesses complete the offer: yacht sales and purchase, berths, new builds, luxury charter with charter management, and yacht management. That division covers shoreside operational support, technical support and coordination with classification societies, financial services, and crew management and payroll, delivered with an MLC-certified employment agency based in the Channel Islands, with MLC-approved contracts of employment. bluewater holds Documents of Compliance from the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry for managing the ISM and ISPS codes and the MLC on large commercial yachts.
