Compagnie Méditerranéenne de Déménagements et Transit, known as CMDT, has been based since 1998 in the Brégaillon port area of La Seyne-sur-Mer, near Toulon. A shipping agent, transport organiser and customs formalities specialist, it has developed a dedicated superyacht branch alongside its freight forwarding and international removals business.

For owners of boats, yachts and ships, CMDT provides complete assistance, making sure that the logistical and administrative requirements of the vessel are met. The team handles customs operations, including importation and temporary admission, the customs formalities to export a boat from France with removal from the French flag register, and the importation of a boat with a view to registering it under the French flag. The company also offers ship agency services.

Its location in the port area allows it to carry out port handling of heavy packages: launching, berthing, lifting of heavy equipment and transhipment. The warehouse, fitted with modern handling equipment, offers a bonded area for goods imported into the European Community and a free zone for general storage, leaving the flexibility to decide later between paying duty or re-exporting.

The freight forwarding and customs side covers import and export clearance, calculation of duties and taxes, management of economic customs regimes and representation before the authorities, with declarations processed at the main French entry points, including Marseille, Fos-sur-Mer, Sète, Calais and Dunkerque. Transport organisation extends to national and international road haulage door to door across France, the European Union, the Middle East and Asia, to sea freight in full container loads, groupage and roll-on roll-off for oversized cargo, and to air and rail freight, completed by international removals.

The company operates from Toulon and the Var, as well as in the Alpes-Maritimes around Nice and in the Hérault around Sète, and supports its clients on international projects. CMDT is certified as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) by the French customs service, a status attesting to the reliability of its customs and security procedures, and highlights expertise built since 1998.
