EDGE CREW is the crew division of the Edge group, based at 98 rue Grignan in Marseille. Its story began in 1998 with the creation of Planète Mer Services by Daniel Pradère and Francis Jacquey, initially focused on yacht delivery and crew management. The company was taken over in 2021 by Thomas Kieffer and adopted the EDGE CREW name in January 2024. The group has grown through the acquisition of MS-YACHTS in Cannes in 2023 and the opening of a subsidiary in Mauritius the same year, alongside EDGE SHIP, dedicated to yacht management and flag registration, and EDGE INTERNATIONAL.

Crew recruitment and management cover every onboard function, from captain to service staff. The company places captains from 200 to 3000 GT, engineers from 750 to 3000 kW, deck crew, head chefs and hospitality staff. EDGE CREW holds a French ministerial approval allowing it to supply qualified maritime personnel with no limit of duration, and operates under the status of maritime labour supply company.

For owners, support goes beyond placement: administrative handling of seafarer employment agreements, payroll, maintenance of working-hour registers and compliance monitoring. The group also offers yacht maintenance and technical management, commercial management, registration with the French International Register, an integrated package combining these services, along with chartering, corporate events and sales brokerage.

Seafarers receive dedicated support. EDGE CREW handles enrolment with the Maritime Affairs offices, including under foreign flags, checks licences, certificates and medical fitness, ensures salaries are paid and pay slips and employment certificates issued, and manages administrative formalities. Social protection is provided through ENIM affiliation, complemented by medical cover effective with no waiting period and an emergency repatriation scheme. Training programmes and access to a dedicated digital platform complete the offer.
