Garage Boat

Garage Boat is a marine engineering workshop at 16 rue du Port de Larros in Gujan-Mestras, on the Arcachon Basin. The business has been on the harbour since 2004, initially under the name Aquitaine Bateaux Passion, and was taken over in 2018 by Cyril and Jessy, who have made passing on their craft to younger recruits one of their priorities. The workshop enjoys a prime position facing the harbour with direct access to the slipway, and is open Monday to Saturday.

Marine mechanics is the core business, covering outboard and inboard engines of all brands: engine servicing, repair, fast diagnostics and propeller correction. The workshop also handles onboard electrics and navigation systems, deck hardware, hull coating and antifouling, as well as mast stepping and unstepping for sailing yachts. Handling rounds out the offer with haul-out, launching, cradling and winter storage.

Garage Boat also carries out repowering studies, a key stage combining brand, technology, output, propeller and installation conditions. This guidance is offered to professionals (passenger transport, fishing, commercial vessels) as well as to leisure boat owners. The company sells new and used boats, tenders, engines, spare parts and deck hardware, and provides quayside and ashore parking, guarded storage and a secure indoor deck.

On the manufacturer side, Garage Boat holds territorial exclusivities for Honda Marine, Volvo Penta, Nanni Diesel and Dtorque, while still working on other inboard and outboard engine brands, Mercury among them. The workshop emphasises its human scale and a relationship of trust with its customers, built around four stated values: passion, craft, 360 degree service and expertise.
