LB Tender Mechanics

Founded in 2014 by Laurent Breyton, LB Tender Mechanics specialises in the repair and maintenance of boat, yacht and tender engines. The main workshop is at the Yachting Village, 46 quai François Mitterrand in La Ciotat, complemented by workshops and stores at Marseille Vieux-Port and Pointe-Rouge. The team works throughout the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.

Servicing covers the installation and commissioning of inboard engines, the calibration and reconditioning of injectors and injection pumps, propeller and shaft repair, gearbox repair, repair or replacement of ancillaries (turbochargers, alternators, starters, pumps), VODIA checks on Volvo Penta, endoscopy of internal circuits and compression tests, oil analysis, exhaust lines, wintering of inboard propulsion units, and the repair of circuits, remote controls and electrical, electronic and hydraulic equipment, with sea trials.

Breakdown assistance is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, dockside or at sea, with fully equipped service trucks, the specific Yanmar and Volvo Penta tooling and up-to-date diagnostic software, from the Bouches-du-Rhône to the Alpes-Maritimes (La Ciotat, Marseille, Toulon, Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Monaco). Repowering, preceded by an oil analysis and a check of the ancillaries, includes the fitting of drives, jets, propellers and transoms. A storage and wintering service in La Ciotat groups services, inspections and repairs in one place.

The company is an approved Volvo Penta dealer and service centre, with an extended 24-month warranty on parts fitted, an approved Yanmar centre, an approved Hamilton Jet agent for the south of France (HJ, HM, HT, HJX and HTX ranges), an approved Humphree centre for interceptors and stabilisation fins, and approved for Cox and Mercury Mercruiser. Technicians are regularly trained by these manufacturers. The stores and online shop offer genuine spare parts, engines, accessories and transmission parts.
