Mecano Nautique is a boat mechanic who comes directly to the berth, with a regular presence at Port Vauban and Port Gallice in Antibes and a base at Port Lympia in Nice. This mobile approach means the boat is taken care of wherever it lies, with no prior handling, and a quotation announced within 24 hours. The area covered spans the whole French Riviera, from Antibes and Cannes through to Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Cap-d'Ail and Monaco.
Servicing is organised into packages matched to engine power, from 15 to 50 hp and from 60 to 450 hp: oil changes, full filtration, greasing, anodes, impeller, spark plugs, anti-salt flushing, belt inspection, high-pressure injection cleaning, a 25-point check and the annual service. Diagnostics and breakdown work rely on electronic scan-tool readings, electronic injection checks, oil pressure and water circuit tests, injector flow checks and voltmeter diagnostics, including electrical faults.
Inboard engine rebuilds are handled in depth: full stripdown, chemical bath and ultrasonic cleaning, block metrology, cylinder reboring, cylinder head assessment and resurfacing, injection cleaning, balancing and reassembly to manufacturer specifications, with engines received and shipped back throughout France and Europe. Repowering includes independent all-brand advice, twin, triple or quadruple engine installations, laser alignment and tie bars, conversion from inboard to bracket-mounted outboard, dynamic trim setting and NMEA 2000 integration, as a manufacturer-warranty or optimised installation, with a trade-in of the previous engine and sea trials in the bay.
The brands covered are Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda and Parsun for outboards, and Volvo Penta, Yanmar and Mercruiser for inboards. The offer is completed by craning and handling arranged with the harbour offices, hull cleaning and antifouling, full washing of hull, deck and bilge, as well as storage and wintering.
