Vega Voiles

Vega Voiles is an independent sailmaker located at 279 rue des Médards in Le Grau-du-Roi, in business since 1972. The company serves cruising sailors and performance-minded owners alike, and brings together on one site a sail loft, a mast and rigging workshop and a chandlery. The team is presented on the site: Bruno Zinaï in the mast and rigging workshop, Jordan Dupuis in sales for sails, masts and rigging, and Vincent Esseul in the shop.

The sail loft designs and builds made-to-measure new sails after a study of the boat and its programme, whether cruising, racing or blue-water sailing, with materials ranging from Dacron to laminated and technical cloths and reinforced finishing. Inspected second-hand sails are also offered, with a full check of seams and reinforcements. Servicing covers repairs, added reinforcements, replacement of UV strips, full overhaul and seasonal follow-up, with optimisation advice on rig configuration.

The mast and rigging workshop works on aluminium and carbon masts. Standing rigging covers shrouds, forestays and lower shrouds, with complete replacement, tuning of shrouds and intermediate shrouds and inspection of chainplates. Running rigging brings together halyards, sheets and control lines, optimised for speed and stability. Tuning and inspection include mast diagnosis, tension checking and examination of swaged terminals, with a technical report. Replacement runs from removal to refitting, with stainless steel wire or textile solutions. Profurl, Selden, Facnor and Harken furlers and top-down furlers cover boats from six-metre yachts to offshore cruisers, fitted by the team in Le Grau-du-Roi.

The chandlery stocks deck hardware and rigging parts, technical ropes, blocks, rigging screws and shrouds, furlers, maintenance products, deck equipment and safety gear. Vega Voiles works with many well-known manufacturers, among them Selden, for which it is a regional centre, Facnor, Harken, Lewmar, Spinlock, Wichard, Karver and Profurl, and offers technical advice, bespoke quotations and special orders.
