Voilerie Code 0 is a craft business located at 721 RN 98 in Grimaud, in the heart of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. It was founded in 2010 by Jerome de Montbarbon, a sailmaker and rigger since 1982, Maitre Artisan and trilingual in French, English and German. The workshop is open all year, Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and by appointment outside those hours. Its location allows work in the harbours of Sainte-Maxime, Port Grimaud, Port Cogolin, Les Marines de Cogolin, Saint-Tropez and Cavalaire, and a visit on board is offered free of charge on a simple phone call.

Custom manufacturing covers cruising and racer-cruiser sails, sun awnings, boom covers, winch covers and wheel covers. Sails are computer designed and laser cut, the panels bonded before sewing, the eyelets crimped in stainless steel and the chafe points finished in marine-treated chrome leather. Cloth comes from Challenger and Dimension/Polyant. The workshop also repairs all types of sails and covers, and supplies VMG stainless monostrand cables, Facnor furlers and Harken deck hardware.

Rigging and ropework are carried out in house: custom cables in monostrand and textile, custom guardrails, mast tuning and cable tension measurement, installation and overhaul of furlers including below deck, and Dyneema bowsprit lines. Ropework is based on Gleistein cordage, with lazy jacks spliced in stripped Spectra, soft textile shackles, custom mooring lines and splices on halyards and mooring lines. Full-grain marine-treated chrome leather is used to cover wheels, to finish spreader and guardrail ends and to protect turnbuckles.

The workshop works on every size of boat, from dinghies such as the Optimist, 470 or Hobie Cat up to superyachts, with references including Lupa, Skylark, Kauris III, Kialoa IV, Alfa Romeo, Karenita and Naarida. A complementary activity brings this know-how ashore, with terrace sails in Solstis 86, perforated UV-treated Shadow shade sails and pergola canvas. The website is available in French and English.
