South Sea Marine

South Sea Marine operates from four marinas in Phuket (Royal Phuket Marina, Yacht Haven Marina, Ao Po Grand Marina and Boat Lagoon) and offers hull restoration and repair (fibreglass, aluminium, steel), industrial painting (Awlgrip, Jotun and International systems), antifouling, teak deck replacement and mechanical engine overhaul (MTU, Volvo Penta, Caterpillar). According to the company's own site, it started in the early 2000s at Boat Lagoon Marina, founded by two experienced marine carpenters with a small dry dock and a reputation built within the cruising community; it now claims more than 300 completed projects and around 50 yachts serviced each year.
