Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC)

Rodney Bay Marina · Late November (start), mid-December (arrival)

Every year since 1986, the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) brings together around 150 cruising yachts for an organized transatlantic crossing of roughly 2,700 nautical miles between Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands) and Rodney Bay Marina, Saint Lucia. The event is organized by World Cruising Club, a British specialist in transoceanic cruising rallies. According to the organizer's official website, more than 8,000 boats have taken part in the ARC since it began, and the crossing record (8 days and 6 hours) was set by the maxi-yacht Rambler 88 in 2016. Rodney Bay Marina, the race's official finish line, has become an iconic Caribbean waypoint each high season, with a prize-giving ceremony held on site at the end of every edition.
