Grenada Sailing Week

Port Louis Marina · Late January to early February

Grenada Sailing Week brings together an international fleet each January or February in Grenada and Carriacou, in the Eastern Caribbean. The regatta runs over six days: a skippers' briefing and welcome party in Carriacou, a race around the island, an offshore passage to Grenada, a lay day, then two days of buoy racing off Grenada's south coast. It also includes the "Rum to Spice" feeder race from Barbados to Grenada. According to the official website, the 2025 edition brought together boats from more than twelve countries.

According to the organisers, the event traces back to 1993 as a keelboat class within the Grenada Sailing Festival, before being formally registered and rebranded Grenada Sailing Week in 2012 by a group of sailing enthusiasts and marine industry professionals, with support from the Caribbean Sailing Association. For owners and captains wintering or transiting through the Eastern Caribbean, it is a strong seasonal landmark: the marinas of Grenada and Carriacou then draw crews, charter professionals and local service providers, an easy way to make contacts on the ground.
