The port
A superyacht marina operated by Camper & Nicholsons in the lagoon south of St George's, the only FairWinds Caribbean port sitting just south of the traditional hurricane belt - a refuge recognised by the industry during hurricane season, on top of the classic winter cruising season.
Port Louis Marina sits in the lagoon south of St George's, the capital of Grenada, at the southern tip of the Grenadines. Operated by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas, it offers 227 berths for vessels up to 105 metres, with on-site customs clearance and a diesel/petrol fuel dock launched in 2025. The site has a colourful history: home in the 1960s-1970s to the Grenada Yacht Services marina, it later fell into disrepair and even served as an informal dumping ground before being redeveloped from 2006 onward under British entrepreneur Peter de Savary into today's modern marina. Grenada is also well known in yachting circles for sitting just south of the Caribbean's traditional hurricane belt, which statistically limits its exposure to major hurricanes and makes it a popular destination during hurricane season (June to November), in addition to the classic winter cruising season.
