Private sail aboard a traditional Carriacou sloop

A sail departing from Port Louis Marina aboard a wooden sloop built in the Petite Martinique tradition, skippered directly by its owner, Captain Danny Donelan.

Minutes from the pontoons of Port Louis Marina, Captain Danny Donelan runs private sails aboard Savvy, a 43-foot wooden sloop hand-built in the Petite Martinique tradition, a shipwright's craft recognised across Grenada and Carriacou. Originally built for a British owner before Danny bought her, the boat has raced in several classic Caribbean regattas, from Grenada Sailing Week to the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. Every outing, from a sunset sail to a passage to Carriacou, is run in small groups directly by the owner, away from the group rotations of ticketed outings.
