Horsburgh Challenge

Nongsa Point Marina · Late February to early March

The Horsburgh Challenge is an offshore passage race jointly organised by the SAF Yacht Club (SAFYC, the Singapore Armed Forces' yacht club) and Nongsa Point Marina and Resort (Batam, Indonesia). The 2026 edition, explicitly titled "19th Edition of the Horsburgh Challenge 2026" by the official notice of race, was held from 28 February to 1 March 2026 (boats arriving at Nongsa Point Marina on the evening of 27 February), with a 32-nautical-mile passage race on the first race day, followed by circuit races on the second day, then prize giving and a closing dinner at the marina.

Methodological note: the notice of race consulted does not specify the exact course (start/finish points of the race itself), referring instead to sailing instructions not published on the site. The link to Nongsa Point Marina rests on an explicit statement in the official notice of race ("Jointly Organized by Nongsa Point Marina and SAF Yacht Club") and on the event location stated on the document's cover page ("Nongsa Point Marina, Batam Indonesia"), not on an inference.
