Porquerolle's Classic

Porquerolles · June

Held every June by the Yacht Club de Porquerolles, the Porquerolle's Classic brings together around fifty classic and traditional sailing yachts, among the finest in the Mediterranean, for several days of racing off Porquerolles and around the Hyères islands. The course alternates coastal legs and races within the bay, closing with a final day capped by the Moonbeam Trophy. The regatta is listed on the official calendar for traditional sailing yachts in France, according to the club's website.

For owners and captains of classic and vintage yachts, as well as shipyards specialising in their upkeep, Porquerolles has become an unmissable stop alongside the Mediterranean's other great classic-yacht gatherings, such as Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, Monaco Classic Week and the Régates Royales de Cannes. Its own history adds to the appeal: the event was created in 2003 to mark the centenary of Moonbeam, a yawl built at the Fairlie yard in Scotland.
