The port
Superyacht marina set within the private residential community of Albany, on the south-west tip of New Providence, Bahamas: 71 berths for vessels up to 250 feet, a basin carved out of solid limestone a short drive from Nassau.
Opened in October 2010, Albany Marina was created by the Tavistock Group together with golfers Tiger Woods and Ernie Els, within a private residential community of close to 600 acres on the south-western tip of New Providence island. According to the coastal engineering firm that carried out the dredging works, the basin of more than 15 acres and its roughly one-mile-long access channel were excavated out of solid limestone rock, with nearly a million tons of rock removed in total. The marina has 71 berths, 32 of them for vessels over 100 feet, with slip lengths ranging from 50 to 240 feet (the resort's official site advertises vessels up to 250 feet), electricity, cable and internet at every berth, and fuel delivery rates of up to 60 gallons per minute.
