The port
Superyacht marina built in 2015 on the Southeast Peninsula of Saint Kitts, acquired in May 2025 by the US operator Safe Harbor Marinas.
Located at Major's Bay, on the Southeast Peninsula of Saint Kitts (Saint Kitts and Nevis), Christophe Harbour Marina is a naturally sheltered basin that opened in 2015, built at the initiative of yacht owner and property developer Buddy Darby, who had spotted the bay's potential and its natural hurricane protection during his own Caribbean cruising. The entry channel is 105 feet wide and 18.5 feet deep (5.6 metres), and the basin now welcomes vessels alongside up to 115 metres (377 feet) in length, with a maximum beam of 70 feet and a maximum draft of 18.5 feet (5.6 metres); the original 24 berths opened in 2015 were sized for vessels up to 250 feet (76 metres), with capacity since extended by additional berths for the largest yachts. Duty-free diesel and petrol are available dockside at 125 US gallons per minute, along with water and electricity (up to 480V three-phase). Customs and immigration clearance is handled on site, with passports stamped on arrival: Christophe Harbour is an official port of entry for Saint Kitts and Nevis. Sold in May 2025 to US operator Safe Harbor Marinas, which now runs over 1,000 slips across the Caribbean including Puerto del Rey in Puerto Rico (the region's largest marina), Christophe Harbour Marina remains part of the wider Christophe Harbour residential and resort development (golf course, hotel, private club).
