Falmouth Harbour Marina

Falmouth Harbour, Antigua, AG

The port

Superyacht marina at the heart of the English Harbour/Falmouth Harbour complex on Antigua's south coast, immediately next to the historic Nelson's Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Falmouth Harbour Marina, founded in 1994, sits in Falmouth Harbour on Antigua's south coast, immediately next to English Harbour. The marina offers around 60 berths (alongside and stern-to) for vessels up to 163 metres with a maximum draft of 6 metres. Fresh water, electricity (110V, 220V, 380V and 400V) and fibre-optic wifi are available dockside, and the marina office answers on VHF channel 10. Customs and immigration formalities for both Falmouth Harbour and English Harbour are centralised at Nelson's Dockyard, in the neighbouring bay. Haul-out is not offered at the marina site itself: it is handled by the neighbouring Antigua Slipway yard, on a marine railway, operating since 1966. English Harbour, less than two kilometres away, is home to Nelson's Dockyard, a Georgian naval dockyard built by the Royal Navy in 1725, where Captain Horatio Nelson was stationed from 1784 to 1787. Inscribed in 2016 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name "Antigua Naval Dockyard and Related Archaeological Sites", the site's own "8th of March Project" also documents that its construction and operation relied on the labour of enslaved Africans.
