Antigua Sailing Week takes place every year in late April at English Harbour, Antigua and Barbuda, organised by Caribbean Sailing Events Inc. on behalf of the Antigua Barbuda Hotels & Tourism Association. The regatta runs over several days of racing, including the traditional Round Antigua Race, and gathers competitive sailing yachts across several classes, with charter options available for crews. According to the organiser, the first edition was held in June 1968, launched by a group of hoteliers looking to extend the winter tourist season, with a three-day regatta and yachts up to 135 feet; the event later grew to more than 250 participating yachts at its peak before settling at around a hundred per edition.
A landmark fixture on the Caribbean racing calendar, Antigua Sailing Week draws professional crews and serious amateurs each year to English Harbour, home to much of the island's yachting activity. The week is paired with a festive programme (Reggae in the Park, the Heineken Riddim & Tides Festival) that also makes it a key social moment for industry professionals on site. In 1988, classic yachts split off to form the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, allowing Antigua Sailing Week to focus on modern top-level racing.
