History
The Societe des Regates d'Antibes was formed in 1896, when Antibes-based members of the Nice Nautical Club (founded 1893) decided to set up a local branch. It was formally registered as a 1901-law association in 1927, and remains affiliated with the Yacht Club de France today. Based at Port Vauban, the largest superyacht marina in the Mediterranean, it organises Les Voiles d'Antibes, a leading regatta for classic yachts and period tall ships, as well as the Alba Cup, an overnight race linking Antibes to Saint-Tropez, and the Coupe de la Ville d'Antibes. Its base at Port Vauban, amid the Riviera's densest concentration of yachting professionals, makes it a natural hub for the region's superyacht ecosystem.
