Sailing club in the Golfe du Morbihan (Conleau area). Sections for dinghy and keelboat sailing, adaptive sailing and radio-controlled sailing. Old foundation but the exact date is disputed between sources (see verification note).

History

The Société des Régates de Vannes (SRV) is one of France's oldest sailing clubs: its official website states it was founded in 1843, which would make it the second-oldest sailing club in France after the Société des Régates du Havre (1841), while an independent local historical source instead dates its creation to 23 April 1865, distinguishing this sailing society from an earlier horse-racing Société des Courses de Vannes. Whichever date is correct, the club was founded before 1900 and remains active today in the Golfe du Morbihan. It runs dinghy and keelboat sailing sections, an adaptive sailing (handi-voile) section and radio-controlled sailing, and organizes several well-known events on the Brittany calendar: the French Vaurien Championship, the Tour de l'Île aux Moines, the Golfe Morbihan Tour and the Tour Autour du Golfe.
