History
Based at Port Pointe Croisette in the heart of Cannes, the Yacht Club de Cannes organises the Regates Royales, a historic gathering of classic and modern sailing on the Croisette (48th edition in 2026) - its exact founding date is not published on its official channels, only its long institutional standing is highlighted. The club expanded its calendar in 2026 with the launch of the Cannes Malta Race, a new offshore race run in partnership with the Royal Malta Yacht Club, and hosts two class world championships that same year, the Tempest and the RS 21, alongside its winter Dragon Winter Series. Beyond racing, the YCC runs a sailing school and a competition academy training sailors across several classes (Optimist, 470, ILCA/Laser).
