The port
The Vieux-Port de Cannes, a historic marina with over 800 berths at the foot of Le Suquet, adjoins the Palais des Festivals along La Croisette.
The Vieux-Port de Cannes sits at the very heart of La Croisette, between the Quai Saint-Pierre, the hill of Le Suquet and the Jetee Albert-Edouard, right at the foot of the Palais des Festivals et des Congres. This central location, close to shops, beaches and the ferry terminal, makes it one of the most visible landmarks along the Cannes waterfront.
The marina offers more than 800 berths in the Mediterranean, with facilities able to accommodate vessels up to 140 metres, placing it among the ports on the Cote d'Azur equipped to host the largest superyachts. The quays are set up to serve both leisure boating and superyacht clients, with marina services, shops and dining available directly on the port.
The harbour still retains part of its historic fishing activity, with a handful of traditional pointu boats still moored along the Quai Saint-Pierre, alongside sailboats and contemporary yachts. This mix gives the Vieux-Port a lively character, blending maritime heritage with international yachting.
Its immediate proximity to the Palais des Festivals ties the port to Cannes' major gatherings: it regularly hosts nautical and public events, including the international boat show held on its quays each year. The Quai Saint-Pierre, which runs along the port at the foot of the Suquet castle, was inaugurated in 1838, a marker of how long this stretch of waterfront has anchored the centre of Cannes.
