The mill on boulevard de la Madeleine is one of the last still pressing olives within Nice itself. The guided visit covers the production plant, a short film on the work of the house, then a guided tasting of the oils and olives. It runs all year, and groups are welcomed by arrangement with the team.
The point of interest is the moment the mill is actually running. During the pressing campaign, in late autumn and early winter, olives arrive from the Nice hinterland and are crushed on site, in a scent that fills the whole building. Outside that period the visit centres on the machinery at rest and on the tasting. The mill sits a few minutes from central Nice, away from the tourist circuits.
