South of the peninsula, Cap Taillat (Ramatuelle) and Cap Lardier (La Croix-Valmer) form one of the last undeveloped coastal stretches of the gulf. Cap Taillat is managed jointly by the town of Ramatuelle and the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur; both sites are classified under the 1930 landscape law and listed in the Natura 2000 network.
Walking follows the coastal path, between Aleppo and umbrella pines, oaks and Posidonia meadows. Wildlife is monitored, notably the Hermann's tortoise, and the site is still under restoration after the 2017 fire. In summer, land access depends on the Var forest-access regulations, which may close the paths according to the day's fire risk.
