The estate lies on the route des Plages, at the foot of the hilltop village of Ramatuelle, a short distance from the peninsula's coves. It claims dual certification, organic and Demeter for biodynamics, and describes itself as the only vineyard in Saint-Tropez holding both. Farming excludes pesticides and herbicides, and sulphites are kept to a strict minimum.
Harvest is done by hand, at night and in the early hours, to bring in cool fruit. The estate opens its cellar to tastings, to lunches among the vines and to dinners in the chai, small-scale formats well suited to a group coming up from the port. The stop is a short one by land from Saint-Tropez as from the Pampelonne beaches, and offers an agricultural reading of the area, against the grain of its seaside image.
