Port de plaisance du Marin

Le Marin, Martinique, FR

The port

The largest marina in the French Caribbean, with 830 berths and around a hundred mooring buoys in the heart of southern Martinique.

Built in the early 1990s, the Port de plaisance du Marin is today one of the largest marinas in the Caribbean: 830 berths, around a hundred mooring buoys, floating docks and quays, a fuel station (two high-flow 12 m3/hour pumps) and a full freshwater and electricity network. Designed for large yachts, it can accommodate vessels up to 60 metres long with a draft of 4.80 metres. A team of around twenty staff handles boater welcome, berth and hardstand operations, security and technical management. Since 1 January 2026, the marina has been managed by SPL Sud Nautique, a local public company created on 16 June 2025, owned 98% by the town of Le Marin and 2% by the town of Anses-d'Arlet, tasked with modernising the facility and developing yachting in southern Martinique. A recognised landfall for sailors arriving after a transatlantic crossing, the harbour office recommends booking a berth in advance, especially in high season (from November).
