The port
Public marina with 76 berths within the Puteri Harbour development, Iskandar Puteri (Johor), facing Singapore across the strait.
Public marina of Puteri Harbour, in Iskandar Puteri (Johor), on the Malaysian side of the Johor Strait, facing Singapore. Set within the large Puteri Harbour urban development (hotels, restaurants, Legoland Malaysia nearby), it currently counts 76 public berths, with plans to expand into a private marina and a dedicated megayacht zone. A customs-immigration-quarantine (CIQ) complex sits directly at the marina entrance, a recognised clearance point for boaters arriving from Indonesia or Singapore.
The marina is now operated as Pinetree Marina & Resort by Malaysian group Tiong Nam Hospitality Group, which has run the adjoining hotel since 2018 and took over the marina in 2024. The site was originally developed and run under the international ONE°15 Marina brand (sister property to the Sentosa Cove site in Singapore, already in this directory), before that brand withdrew from the site. The VHF channel and call sign ("Puteri Harbour") were kept by the new operator, but the phone line changed - a sign of a full operational handover rather than a simple rebrand. According to Johnny Lau, Senior General Manager of Tiong Nam, the site is meant as an ideal starting point for boaters coming from Phuket, Langkawi, Pangkor Island, Kota Kinabalu or Singapore (source: Yacht Style, August 2024).
