Opera Garnier Monte-Carlo, a hall available for private hire

The Salle Garnier, inaugurated in 1879 on Place du Casino, can be taken over in full for a closed event. Gold, velvet and precious woods, beneath a sixteen-metre ceiling.

Designed by Charles Garnier and inaugurated in 1879, the hall of the Opera de Monte-Carlo stands on Place du Casino, its facade turned towards the Mediterranean. Monte-Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer, which operates the venue, offers it for private hire: 670 square metres in all, a 270 square metre stage, sixteen metres of ceiling height and a capacity of 517 in theatre configuration. The decor combines gold, velvet and fine woods.

In ordinary use the hall stages operas, ballets and concerts, including jazz programmes. Taken privately, it frames closed celebrations and bespoke musical evenings. The acoustics and sound system are those of a working lyric house, which suits a recital as readily as an address. Place du Casino is reached on foot from the quays of Port Hercule, with no significant road transfer.
