The port
Port Camille Rayon offers 838 berths in Golfe-Juan, between Antibes and Cannes, facing the Lérins Islands in the Mediterranean.
Port Camille Rayon is located in Golfe-Juan, part of the municipality of Vallauris-Golfe-Juan, on the Alpes-Maritimes coast in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. It sits in a sheltered position on the Mediterranean, between Antibes and Cannes, with an open view of the Lérins Islands.
The marina offers 838 berths, with a layout oriented toward deep-sea yachting. Facilities include water and electricity at the berths, wifi coverage, restrooms, selective waste sorting and collection points, a slipway reserved for clients, and an on-site careening area and shipyard. Security on the water is provided through video surveillance and round-the-clock watch, with contact available by phone or on VHF channel 9. The port has flown the Blue Flag for over twenty years, an environmental distinction awarded to sites that meet water and waste management standards.
The village of Golfe-Juan, right by the port, offers beaches, shops and restaurants just steps from the pontoons. The nearby town of Vallauris is known for its pottery tradition and for the workshop where Pablo Picasso worked with ceramics in the years following the Second World War; several artisan workshops remain active there today. The towns of Antibes and Cannes, with their old harbours and lively waterfronts, are a short distance away along the coast.
The port takes its name from Camille Rayon, a Second World War Resistance member who, after the war, became one of the developers behind the modern concept of the Mediterranean marina, contributing to around thirty harbour projects in the region, including Golfe-Juan, which the municipality officially named "Port Camille Rayon" in 1989.
