The port
At the foot of the village of Cassis, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, this 396-berth marina opens onto the Mediterranean and the calanques.
Port de Cassis sits in the town centre, at the foot of the village and its fort, on the coast of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, in the Mediterranean. This sheltered setting places the port at the heart of local life, between the coloured houses of the seafront and the cliffs that announce the Calanques massif.
The marina offers 396 berths on fixed pontoons, supplemented in summer by around a hundred additional berths on floating pontoons. It welcomes vessels from 4 to 25 metres, with anchoring possible in the roadstead, and can be reached on VHF channel 9. Together with the neighbouring port of Port-Miou, it forms one of the recognised access points for boating in the area.
Close by, the Calanques massif, and in particular the Calanque de Port-Miou, the only one of the massif belonging to the commune of Cassis, gives boaters direct access to natural sites protected since 2012 by the Calanques National Park. Cap Canaille, a protected site since 1989, overlooks the bay and can be reached from Cassis via the Route des Crêtes toward La Ciotat.
The village keeps an identity turned toward the sea, with its lively lanes, seafront terraces and Provençal market. The historic centre includes several notable buildings, among them the Hôtel de Ville and the Église Saint-Michel, which bear witness to the village's long history around its port.
Cassis holds on to its past as a fishing village, kept alive today by the Fête des pêcheurs et de la mer, celebrated each year with a blessing of Saint-Pierre and a parade of decorated boats. This maritime attachment, inherited from generations of local sailors, still marks the atmosphere of the port and the village.

Informational only, never a navigation recommendation.
The Bay of Cassis falls under the Calanques National Park mooring strategy: anchoring is concentrated on sandy areas, buoys are mandatory where sand is insufficient, and vessels over 24 m must anchor beyond the posidonia meadow limit.
